All Timezone Conversions
Cron UTC to JST
Convert cron job schedules from UTC to JST timezone.
Timezone Offset
+9 hours
UTC (UTC+0) → JST (UTC+9)
Conversion Examples
To run a job at a specific UTC time, use the JST expression below:
| Target time (UTC) | Cron in JST | Equivalent JST time |
|---|---|---|
| Midnight UTC | 0 9 * * * | 9 AM |
| 9 AM UTC | 0 18 * * * | 6 PM |
| Noon UTC | 0 21 * * * | 9 PM |
| 5 PM UTC | 0 2 * * * | 2 AM (next day) |
How to Use
If your server runs in JST but you want jobs to execute at UTC times:
- Take your desired UTC hour
- Add 9 hours
- If result is negative, add 24 (job runs previous day)
- If result is 24 or more, subtract 24 (job runs next day)

Important Notes
- Standard cron has no timezone support - it uses the server's local time
- Day boundaries: When converting crosses midnight, the day also changes
- DST: Consider daylight saving time - offsets may change by 1 hour seasonally
- Kubernetes & cloud platforms: Many support explicit timezone configuration
